I love to draw! For as long as I can remember, I’ve reveled in putting pencil to paper. I enjoy working in a variety of mediums and exploring different techniques. My illustration work and process usually blends traditional and digital methods—sometimes working in one or the other, but often working in both. 

I’m inspired by ephemeral moments, exploration, and play—and by observed line, color, texture, and pattern seen indoors and out. 

In addition to drawing and making, I enjoy being in the classroom. I have taught elementary and middle school students as an interim art teacher, have led art and illustration workshops and summer camps, and taught design and illustration courses at Old Dominion University.

When not in my studio, I can be found roaming antique malls, watching Netflix, or exploring the outdoors.
